Tasty stuff

Tasty stuff

Caffeine drinks

  1. Tea.
  2. Coffee.

These types of articles puzzle me. You’d think after hundreds (thousands?) of years we’d have figured out how to get tea and coffee from growers to our stomachs. I guess not.

Excess Soil Management

  1. MOE’s guidelines.
  2. Commentary from an environmental lawyer.

Environmental Groups

  1. Really neat group. I like how they go out and do stuff.
  2. A smaller scale project in Kingston. Also neat.

Climate Skepticism

A fairly measured look. Climate change and skepticism are complicated. The truth lies somewhere between the doe-eyed hippies venerating St. Gore and the frothing industrialists gleefully plundering the Earth. More on this in the future.

Safe Drinking Water for First Nations Act

  1. Scroll to page 51. I assumed that reserves were under federal guidelines; apparently each reserve may (or may not) follow provincial regulations, federal guidelines, or their own internal policy. In any case, it doesn’t look like this will fix anything.

Local Business

  1. Report on Kingston’s economy. Not surprising. As mentioned by Bill Hughes, Kingston is more of a government town than Ottawa. When times are good, we lag. When times are bad, we ride it out.
